Hey Toni, Melissa and the Hive!
Here are a couple photos of cheese in Abeego packets. It lasted the full 2 weeks of the horse riding adventure I was on in the Muskwa-Kechika area of BC. (west of Fort Nelson, and very far north:-) I was very impressed as were the other 8 riders on the trip. While they all pulled out plastic bags with their lunches, I pulled out all three Abeego wraps, one with my sandwich, the middle with my snack (usually trail mix) and the smallest with my slice of cheese, all held in a cloth lunch sack.
The wraps were met with curiosity at how they held their shapes, and I was happy to convey how useful they were and how happy I was to reuse them. At the end of the day I'd rinse them in the nearby creek/river/lake, whatever we were next to, and they'd be ready for me to pack my lunch in the next day
The trip was 15 days long and was truly an Expedition. There were 9 of us, the guide, Wayne Sawchuk, his wrangler, Alex Lepp and 7 guests. Beside the 9 riding horses there were 10 pack horses that carried our camping gear.
It was a tough trail. Lots of walking both up and downs (not riding) and the horses were terrific. I lost 7 lbs in the total time on the trail.
If you want to explore the wild of the Muskwa-Kechika area check in with Wayne Sawchuk. It's truly was a fantastic journey and I highly recommend it.
By the way, my horse's name was Toni! (short for Antoinette)
