I am here today to give you a little update on the Abeego closing sale.
As many of you know, I announced that I was closing Abeego after 17 years on July 23rd. That was probably the hardest day of my life.
Ten weeks in, and believe it or not, a lot has changed. I'm sitting here looking at my business that was bleeding cash and killing me for almost 3 years and all of sudden, we’re cash flow positive. The orders are rolling in and I'm left to question what I do next.
I've given it a lot of thought and have to ask myself if I am a smart business woman that sees opportunity or if I am a scared woman that needs to take the next step and let go. Fun, right?
Here's my plan: On October 7th the Abeego 50% off sale is coming to an end. In order to make a smart business decision, I need better data — data that isn’t skewed by a deep 50% off discount.
And here’s why, I don't know if Abeego is truly wanted or if it’s wanted at a price that's not sustainable for the future of this company.
To make a good and logical decision, instead of a hopeful or scared decision, the price will go back to normal for the holiday season.
If we roll out the next 10 weeks and the orders keep coming then I'll reassess in January.
And if they don’t, I’ll reassess in January.
My plan is to take a one month sabbatical on December 7th in order to rest in a way that I really need to rest before I make my next move.
Thank you for being a part of this closure.
I know people have questions and I think you should just know that closing a 17-year-old business is a task I don't wish upon anyone. It's hard and it hurts, but it hurts just as bad to hang on.
Thank you, stay tuned.

Regardless of how the struggle comes out, I’d like to let you know that I came across your product when trying to find plastic wrap alternatives, read your information, saw the sale and made the jump. Your product works exactly as advertised, is exactly what my family was looking for, and we’re very happy to be using it. So thank you, and it’s a shame you’re having to fight so hard for consumer education, public health, and against a huge entrenched industry that makes more money from harm than help. Thank you for being one of the people who helps.
