Chapter 7: What Came First, Abeego or Toni?
Update: Is Abeego closing? TBD. Read my update here.
CHAPTER 7
I am who I am and I know what I know because of Abeego. I feel wise, worldly, worthy of delivering even bigger, more impactful ideas to Keep Food Alive (KFA around here). I might have invented Abeego but in the end it invented me.
I decided to solve food waste in the kitchen and I accomplished that. In doing so I realized food waste in the kitchen can’t be truly solved. The consumer is blamed for 40% of food waste but the negative impact on their fresh food happens well before the moment they pick it off the shelf. They’ve just been left holding the rotten hot potato.
I think we can all agree the food system isn't working optimally or equitably. One person can’t solve a systematic problem but they can influence change that will be felt for generations.
So, like I did with Abeego, I want to nudge another part of the broken, rotten system toward a better outcome with fresh food for the benefit of all of us.
I’m an inventor, a system disruptor and problem solver. In the next few Chapters I’ll share just a handful of the ideas that are holding my attention and feed my vision to Keep Food Alive (KFA). Who knows, maybe the same ideas hold your attention, If so, let's put our heads together.
